OMG, I *love* this photo, Diane! Hey, is that the Harold Washington Library? I learned on a CAF tour that the library architecture is a "mish mash" of styles based on the idea that the inside of the library contains information on all kinds of topics so the outside should reflect all kinds of styles. Cool, huh?
A blog about urban gardening, houseplants, and nature in Chicago
"I only wanted to see what the garden was like, your Majesty--"
"That's right," said the Queen, patting her on the head, which Alice didn't like at all: "though, when you say 'garden'--I've seen gardens compared with which this would be a wilderness..."
I'm a graduate student working on my doctorate in evolutionary biology. I live in Chicago with my husband, a garden that usually needs weeding, and some silly dogs.
