Maybe this explains why the back bedroom floor noticeably slants, and the walls have decorative features like this?
Anyway, the demolition is finished after one day, including the removal of the concrete. Plans have been made to properly shore up the corner of the house, and the project has suddenly become more expensive and kind of scary. However, the prospect of not fixing this problem is even scarier.

My house has a lot of previous people fix-it mistakes, and some inherent building anomalies, so any time I need a repair it's "This would be really simple, EXCEPT [insert oddity of house/previous repairs here] will make it really difficult and costly."
Um, things look good cleared out though!!! :)
Just keep reminding yourself fixing it the right way now will save a lot of money and stress in the long run. It's going to be great when it's done!
